  This place is struggling. The downtown rumor mill claims ExMart will vacate this spot when the lease is up (poor sales), which would be a shame. This place has all the ingredients to be the absolute best convenience store in Downtown Syracuse. Staff here simply lack the skills necessary to work in a c-store. They tend to forget to take down sale signs, so that '2 for $2' deal you thought you'd get is not what you're charged. Always ask for a receipt here. Check expiration dates on anything bought here. Fresh coffee here is rare, as they've all but ceded the coffee biz to Café Kubal. Cashiers tend not to know how to use their own POS terminal. Turnover is high. They have a deli counter here for sammiches, weekdays only, and... again, competent staff here would be a boon. Mistakes are common. The soda fountain is reliable. Great selection of items here: snacks, drinks and cigs.
  
  A lighted 'OPEN' sign here would be helpful for Downtown folks, since this store is NOT open 24/7. Last Summer, downtown event-goers didn't even know there was an Express Mart in Downtown. Given that this store's downtown competition is so reliably bad, including the god-awful Speedway 6 blocks east, its stunning to see the level of ineptitude here.
